Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free news european parliament World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers via public information points and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools.
